TWINFAX – The fax solution for Windows and all mail systems
The versatile, universal fax system TWINFAX already includes the TWINFAX SMTP connector as standard.
TWINFAX SMTP is an additional server component for all mail systems such as MS Exchange, Lotus Notes/Domino, Groupwise and many others. The fax traffic is fully integrated into the mail server, the documents are managed by the respective mail system.
TWINFAX can be set up with both local printing (using the TWINFAX Client for Windows) and central printing (server-side rendering).
The advantage of local printing is that every user can preview the document before sending it.
TWINFAX with SMTP Fax offers the following features:
- The TWINFAX Client enables faxing and emailing using the print function of Windows applications. The recipients can be selected from all address sources available in the company.
- Optional access to Outlook, Outlook Express, Lotus Notes (direct access via Notes client from V.5), LDAP directories and ODBC databases.
- Optionally, the orders can be passed on directly via the Notes client. This has the advantage that all orders sent are placed in the Domino mailbox.
- Convenient fax client and printer driver for Windows with preview window, delayed sending, cover sheet and overnight sending, selection of stationery and mailbodies stored on the server.
- Background printing via printer control characters.
- Ability to combine multiple print jobs into one shipping job (“collect”). The collected documents can be viewed in a preview and the order of merging can be influenced interactively.
- Full integration into the mail system. No data management in the fax system.
- All incoming messages and status messages end up in the user’s mailbox (“one interface to the customer”).
- Connectors to MS Exchange, Lotus Notes and all mail programs.
- Clear interfaces with detailed status returns.
- Competent advice, hardware and software from a single source
- Consistent support for the terminal server (Citrix Metaframe or Microsoft Server 2016, 2019 and 2023).
- If an email address is specified for the recipient instead of a fax number, the TWINFAX fax server automatically sends the document via email.
- If desired, TWINFAX SMTP can be configured with POP3 functionality if there is otherwise no mail server to manage the messages.
